chops-beansprouts
In spite of being a huge carnivore, the added touch of the sauteed bean sprouts makes this dish a little bit more healthy. The process is even very quick and easy plus it's easy on the pocket too! HOW-TO For the chops, simply marinate with your favorite rub or marinade and fry or grille as you wish. In my case, I used a store-bought seasoning, Montreal from McCormick which for me was a total deviation from the usual fried pork chops we normally have and is good in my opinion. Now if you don't have this seasoning, here are the ingredients in it... garlic salt onion black pepper parsley red pepper orange peel paprika green bell peppers For the bean sprouts: 2 T cooking oil 1/2 kilo bean sprouts 1/4 cup oyster sauce 1 tsp. Montreal seasoning 1/4 cup water Heat oil and stir-fry the bean sprouts for a minute or 2. Season with oyster sauce and the seasoning. Pour in water and bring to a quick boil. Remove from heat and serve at once, topped with the chops or on the side and of course, for us Filipinos, with mounds of rice, white or fried! INDULGE! DAD'S VERDICT: ♥♥♥♥ One heart dropped if only for the fact that dad is such a big fan of simple deep fried chops! An entry for FF-chops-and-beansprouts...
