spotty
…what the kids had for breakfast today. Champorado with milk spots. S’s favorite breakfast, lunch, dinner! haha!
a comfort food for her especially on this snow spotted day. natuluan ng tubig ang snow sa deck kaya
naging batik batik.
…my snow-spotted car. and at times like these, I can only dream of the sun and spending the day in those Miami Beach condos!
tatlong lahok para sa Litratong Pinoy na may temang…Batik or SPOTS.

Signs [Litrato]
…we met up with my cousin Joseph from Seattle over the weekend and had another chance to have a delicious meal at WAGAMAMA. and yes, i still ordered their creamy and slightly spiCy Ebi Kare Lomen and of course paired with a cold bottle of Asahi…the marriage of rainy days and a hearty and warm soup? one can never go wrong with that.
strolling around Boston…you won’t miss Legal Sea Foods right around the wharf.
…along the Marina.
…right by the Aquarium is the ‘T’ sign. Boston’s version of the LRT or MRT or NY’s subway.
…it was a gorgeous rainy day with overcast clouds. that didn’t stop me from shooting though:)
…really? does anyone need a signage for this? only custom headlights! pardon the photo as i was shooting while in a moving ca[h]r!

a beautiful week! [Litrato]
it is in fact a wonderful summer-y week we are basking in, and it’s such a pity if we spend the day indoors. since we’ve had our share of muggy if not oh-so-wet days last week, we are blessed with such a welcoming warm and dry days this time.
if you remember, itong pine na ito rin ang entry ko last week for the WET theme…yun nga lang this time…tuyong tuyo na siya…:)
see what i mean? now we’re off again to embrace the last nicer day of the week! kasi mukhang bibisitahin na naman kami ng ulan bukas!:(

Skywatch Friday: Virginia clouds
…these overcast sky photos were taken one of those unpredictable days in Virginia during our very recent spring break trip there. the reason why we weren’t really able to go to other planned trips around the area. it was a rainy week, it turned out…which ruined our much anticipated visit to Virginia Beach…and a return to Washington DC.
An entry to Skywatch Friday.

kids in the park
…what better way to be a part of this week’s theme at Thematic Photographic but with my most favorite subjects in the whole wide world…my kids! taken during the Mother’s day weekend at the nearby park. simple. fun. family time.
…we covered almost everything that needed to be done including a hair cut for the boys, some summer camp registrations and even gardening and gathered auto insurance recommendations.
This week’s theme…HUMAN. check out Carmi’s page for more details.

Ruby Tuesday: on Virginia
this is just one part of our first day in Virginia. seeing the city/state on a clear day as compared to our first trip about 2 years ago was a total ‘awakening’ from an Easterner stand point of sorts. in a nut shell, it is absolutely cleaner, fresher and manicured with wide and lush greeneries as compared to New York and Massachusetts where we have lived during the past 5 years. even Connecticut and New Jersey in comparison, I would aptly say that I find Virginia, the northern part at least is a place where I would love to have my kids grow up in too.
From a foodie and shopaholic standpoint, it is spotted with all sorts of restaurants and specialty shops all over. and from a mother and designer’s perspective… clusters within clusters of perfectly sized and well planned residential houses are prominently appealing, that is to my standards at least.
Not to mention that our closest friends in the country [and that goes for the kids too], reside in this part of the East Coast now, before which we used to be so close by and just a few subway stations away in NY. This explains why we try as much as we can to visit each other at least once a year. or at least meet halfway just like how we did last summer when we met up at Six Flags, CT. before that, it was their turn to go up this far. this year we cruised 9-12 hours [blame it on the GW bridge traffic, on our way back home] and spent the whole spring break with the Evangelistas! thanks again for the warm and relaxing week that has put this website into a halt up until this day. hangover is hard to cure…’bringing back that blog-ving feeling’ is like a ‘last-song-syndrome’ that’s attacking me up to this very minute! next year…the Cape?

Litrato: Hardin [Garden]
Back in New York, I can only go as far as an Asparagus on a pitcher or vase on a table or counter, sometimes it’s the basil or other fresh herbs i mostly use in cooking or a foliage of them all. primary reason…wala akong hardin sa building apartment na tinitirhan namin noon. secondly, i was never huge on colorful blooms and bouquets…in fact kung ako ay papipiliin ng bulaklak berdeng bulaklak pa rin ang gusto ko or simpleng puting tulip is as far as i can go. even in decorating the house, i would still opt for twigs, pussy willows and cat tails [la la la la, hee!] rather than roses and stuffs…
Pangatlong dahilan? takot pa akong sumubok sa pagtatanim o paghahardin. The most successful one i’ve ever had was this parsley i bought ready on a pot at matagumpay ko namang nabuhay ng buong taon. But now I am ready to enjoy this bigger back/side yard/garden/deck that we have.
At sa mga panahong ito na painit na ng painit, mahalaga na ang hardin ay may BBQ grille! Hindi akin yan, at hindi ko rin kilala ang mamang iyan. He he! Kapitbahay lang na nagkataong nasa labas mga ilang minuto pa lamang ang nakakaraan, habang hinahanda o nililinis ang kaniyang grille.
This is one thing that I need to buy soon myself. Add to that a set of patio chairs and table both for entertaining and lazing around during these nicer weather condition outdoors.
An entry to
with a GARDEN theme.
and here’s another take on this theme
