i have a new MAN…a new TOY!
Now, now…let’s not get all excited please…his name is BREADMAN! and here he is…
Isn’t he a beauty? He came into being during the 4th of July weekend, when M bought it for me on sale from Macy’s. Since then, we’ve never had store-bought commercial bread for consumption in the house!
First stop…oatmeal bread, plucked from neighbor Stel’s tried and tested [and tasted!] recipe. S loves it, C prefers the plain one[white bread which I made next], M? what can I say…and I quote Stel again, “he’s hooked!”…now that’s mah man!

I love love love love bread! I don’t have a bread machine but I always toy around with the idea of getting one

I LOVE my bread machine! There’s so much you can do with it beyond just the standard loaves. My favorite thing is to use it to make the dough, then shape the dough on a piece of parchment, let it rise again, and bake it in the oven on a baking stone. Have fun experimenting!
