La.Pi.S. Week #6: Soft
My apologies for being against the clock in posting the announcement for this week’s Lasang Pinoy, Sundays theme. I have been sort of under the weather and a bit queasy still but no worries, it’s just mild flu [if there’s such a thing] and trying to battle the onset of sore throat through the miraculous honey-vinegar home remedy that I personally found very effective.

When you have this condition, you tend to be choosy with what you eat right? Something that won’t give you a hard time in swallowing and won’t cause more pain and won’t let you exert extra effort like a soft meal. That’s where our theme comes in.
Can you share a photograph of a tried and tested dish that soothes, eases pain, gives comfort due to it’s supple texture? Or maybe a spongy treat for those who have a sweet tooth? We want anything SOFT not necessarily soupy since we have that theme specifically for next week, so I dare not say share any comfort food which equates the word/s with soup for most people. This would also be a good thread for those who have braces! Far from their list would be something that is a little difficult to chew through. Other than soup, what is out there for them to still enjoy the pleasures of life, gastronomically speaking. I have been through this ordeal once in my life, so I know how hard it is and what braced-up :] people are going through. Let’s talk about babies…what do you feed your little bundles in his/her first few months or during teething stages? And the list goes on and on…don’t make me talk about the elderly anymore okay?

By the way, this dish is PoTATO GNOcCHi in Marinara Sauce, another cheat-eat cooked up by my dear M…so I am posting the recipe on our other website, momcooks.dadcooks. as soon as I am well.
This is Lasang Pinoy, Sunday’s theme for the week of July 20-26, anything SOFT! Everyone is invited to come and join us weekly, Filipino or not, if you have a Filipino palate, you are most welcome so…SALI NA!
If you are a La.Pi.S. participant, please leave your name in the box below for a quick round-up plus it makes other participants visit your entry easier and don’t forget to sprinkle some spiCe!
