LasangPinoy,Sundays#4 : SUMMER DRINKS

It’s our Fourth week, and the 4th of July fireworks is over [well almost, since we we’ll be viewing another display tonight] now it’s time to quench those thirst after the parade of barbecues [grilled], desserts and summer fruits, don’t you think? I am so sure you’ll have so much to share for this edition of Lasang Pinoy, Sundays and here’s my share…

sago-gulamanStill part of the previous weekend’s hurried road trip to Connecticut for my niece’s Bridal Shower, this SAGO at GULAMAN medley was such a welcome thirst-quenching drink on that scorching hot day by the pool! Allow me to add that part of making this was my only contribution to the overflowing spread of food and drinks on the said party. I was supposed to help out with the pretty in pink cake but we arrived a bit late the night before that I was not able to find the effort hopping to my other cousin’s house and lend a hand. Even if I did, I don’t feel I would’ve done much knowing that my creative juices won’t be flowing as much as I want to.
Just before heading to New York though, I tried [just a glass] some martini concoctions prepared by my nephew and so M did all the driving. It was go-od…tart and a bit sweet with just about the right amount of booze to perk me up.martiniSo let those juices flowing and show us your own concoction or photograph of a drink you just had in time for the summer! Gobble, gobble, gobble!
If you want to join in this weeks theme, just leave your name through the MisterLinky box, this way we have an instant round-up! and don’t forget to sprinkle some spiCe! with your lovely comments! Now, give me that beer M, the long weekend has just begun! BOTTOMS UP!

Ces, yummy. I love sago and gulaman espcially the ones you buy in small food stores in the Philippines. Medyo sosy ang version mo kasi I’m used to drinking this in those plastic cups that you eventually break and fold until it looks like a flying saucer.

Martini… hmmm… maybe if you mix it with gulaman and sago.

i tried doing sago and gulaman without banana essence (dahil wala sa local asian store ko) and it wasn’t the same. nagpabili tuloy ako sa manila via my cousin who went home for a vacation, hehe. o diba imported pa ang ingredients, hehe!

have a great week ahead, ces and everyone! :)
