on gardening
Today is a very nice day, warm and dry. It’s a perfect day to do some gardening. But wait, I already started my seedlings and just waiting for them to sprout! Waiting, waiting. This will prove one thing if it does, I have green thumb after all…okay, yellow green? Hee! Now what’s next as I get successful in this new past time? Yes you read it right…it’s not yet a hobby nor a passion. Just something to help me get through the day. Next up would be getting some pots and planters.
This brings back some not so nice memories of our previous house and an indoor planter that cost us $350! Way too much, right? Now don’t get me all wrong. See, that particular planter wasn’t really very expensive. In fact I got it from a nearby home store for a fraction of the price. Having said that, what I thought was a good deal turned out to be the opposite! To cut the story short, water leaked out of the pot and this bamboo finished decorative planter left a deep stain on the wooden floor that won’t get off. Needless to say, when we moved…we had to pay our previous landlord this much for the repair of the said floor. For a square foot or less of stain, we were robbed of less than 400 precious dollars. Lesson learned as they say.
