Awhile ago, I was chatting with my little sister and we were talking about their trip going here in 2 months with her hubby and my newest nephew Mico, whom we haven’t seen yet…together with my mom and my brother from Canada and his wife. In short we are having a long-awaited family reunion in Mass! It’s been a long time since we last saw each other especially my brother since he wasn’t able to come home when we went back to the Philippines for my sister’s wedding. Four long years since he last saw his niece and nephew.

Pinky, my sister sent us Mico’s recent photos and he’s turning one already next month. Time really flies so fast! Imagine, now she has her own son when I can still remember her in her grade school uniform, almost the same age as my daughter, S! Ohmg! that I cannot imagine. My sweet little girl all grown up!
Speaking of uniforms…this brings me to the main reason why I am writing this. I made a promise to Toni, of Wifely Steps to post something that talks about my favorite post in her website. To be honest, I haven’t been visiting anyone’s site, for that matter, religiously during the past months. As most of you might know, we recently moved to a new state and that kept me so preoccupied…motherhood, wifeyhood, sewing, fixing, cleaning…the likes.:) Sometimes I wish things were much simpler, when all you have to do is do homework, watch a little TV, take a nappy, listen to your ipod [read:walkman]…right? Those were the days, as they say…my high school days. High school life, oh my high school life talaga!
Anyway, that’s where Toni comes in! hahaha! The post that really made me relate to Mrs. Wifely Steps was the one that had her photo donning her grade school uniform. You know why? I remembered my sister in her when I saw that photo, her yearbook photo! Moreso, it was only then I learned that we…Toni, my sister and myself went to the same school! The School of the Holy Spirit, Quezon City to be exact. That simply struck me. I don’t have any particular reason, but I think most of you would agree that even in the wonderful world of cyberspace, there is that connection, call it a trans-intellectual intuition if you may, towards a particular person/blogger that we instinctively grasp even on the very first time we set foot on somebody’s website, right? Other than Toni’s varied ways of expressing herself in an informative and fun yet full of down-home creativity, there was something that drew me to her site and to her per se, every now and then. Maybe a higher force, a spirit that was instilled within our being and that is, and I am proud to say…those that we learned from our old school, not necessarily religious but in most aspects of life that we still carry up to this day.
Toni may or may not feel the same way, but I am just glad to have connected with her, not personally…but in ’spirit’? Once again, happy happy 5th to you and Mr. WS and to your site! Mwaaah! As my neighbor would put it…’may the force be with you’!
