What is up with the airlines nowadays? First the baggage allowance dropping from 70 pounds to 50 pounds, and for some they limit 1 luggage per person and if you go beyond that, you will have to pay extra. Now, a traveller will surely get cold while flying because they do not issue blankets and pillows anymore. Personally though, I would never ask for one for sanitary reasons. Imagine putting your clean face on a pillow that has been used by who knows who? From what I gather, the airlines only change the pillow covers after the last flight of the day. The blanket do not get cleaned unless it is totally soiled. This is why during my family’s recent trip here from Manila, I made sure that they have at least one light jacket with them even during the summer season to prevent chilling from cold inside the aircraft.
